MACís Commitment to HSE

MAC is committed to provide a safe and healthy workplace; and to protect the environment in all its activities at all the locations in which it operates. To achieve this goal, the principles here below should be followed:

  • Identification and evaluation of all HSE hazards or aspects and the management of those risks to reduce their impacts to acceptable levels;
  • Compliance with all applicable HSE legislation;
  • Prevention of incidents, injuries and pollution;
  • Intolerance to the conditions and behaviors that contribute to incidents and injuries;
  • Reduction of waste and conservation of natural resources;
  • Recording and communicating HSE performance throughout the organization; and
  • Continual improvement of HSE performance

The President assumes the ultimate responsibility for HSE in MAC and is supported by the Senior Corporate Management, who shall uphold these principles throughout the company and integrate them into the companyís HSE Policy and Management System.


Management and Supervisory Personnel, at each location, shall be responsible for implementing and maintaining MACís HSE Policy and Management System. Subcontractors, vendors and suppliers shall work in accordance with MACís HSE Policy and comply with applicable HSE legislation. Regular HSE audits shall be conducted to determine conformance to the HSE Management System.


Every employee shall be trained and held accountable for complying with the companyís HSE Policy and related procedures, practices, instructions and rules. Working safely and in an environmentally appropriate manner are conditions of employment. Each employee has a duty to report workplace conditions or practices that pose a safety hazard or threaten the environment and to take reasonable actions to alleviate such risks.


Every person in MAC should act in a responsible manner and understand that his taking of any risk would place in jeopardy those he cares for.
